Neymar da Silva Santos Junior was born on the 5th of February 1992 in Mogi Das Cruzes, Brazil. Neymar is a well known football striker that has won a whole bunch of trophies at the age of 21. Neymar won the South American footballer of the year in 2011 at the age of 19.
Neymar has been playing football since the age of 7. Neymar played for brazilian team called Portuguesa Santista he played for the club for 1999 to 2003. In 2003 at the age of 11 he moved to a a brazilian football club called Santos Fc where he played for the youth team till 2009. At the age of 17 Neymar made it into santos' first team. In 2009 neymar also made it into the Brazilian u/17 team. In 2010 Neymar made it into the National brazilian squad, where he has shined bright for his country.
After making 103 appearances for the Santos club, Neymar was given the opportunity to play in Europe for one of La Ligas biggest club Barcalona Fc who offered the tallented player €57 million. Neymar accepted the offer, which also included a 5 year contract with the club.
Neymar will start in his new club in the La Liga for Barcelona Fc in the 2013-2014 season.
